Retail Stores Assistant

Our client, a well-established specialist paint supplier, is seeking a Retail Store Assistant to join their Chermside retail trade center. This is a hands-on role combining customer service, paint tinting, and stock handling in a busy retail environment.

You will assist trade and retail customers, mix and customize paint tints, manage stock, and help maintain a safe and well-presented store.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer service and sales support
• Mixing and customizing paint tints (training provided)
• Color matching and product advice
• Receiving, unloading, and putting away deliveries using electric pallet lifters
• Manual handling of paint products
• Stock replenishment and general warehouse duties
• Operating computer-based cash registers and systems
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety within the store

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in retail, warehouse, or trade store environments preferred
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Forklift license advantageous but not essential
